Sava is a Registered Physiotherapist with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University.

Over the past six years, he has worked with a wide variety of people, from active adults and athletes to individuals living with persistent pain, neurological conditions, and everyday injuries. His clinical experience spans private orthopaedic practice, neurological rehabilitation, hospital care, and strength and conditioning with McMaster University’s varsity soccer teams.

While Sava has completed additional training in areas including acupuncture, dry needling, concussion rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, shoulder rehabilitation, Parkinson’s disease, and persistent pain, his treatment philosophy isn’t built around a particular technique. Instead, it’s built around understanding the person sitting in front of him.

He believes that meaningful recovery begins by listening to your story, understanding your goals, and identifying the factors contributing to your current experience. From there, treatment is tailored to you and may include education, exercise, training modifications, lifestyle strategies, and practical solutions that fit your life, not just your symptoms.

Working virtually has reinforced what Sava believes are the most important parts of physiotherapy: communication, education, movement, and helping people develop the confidence to manage their health independently. Rather than relying on passive treatments, his goal is to provide expert guidance, a clear plan, and the support you need to return to the activities that matter most.

As someone who has experienced his own injuries through sports, Sava understands the frustration that pain can bring. That perspective helps him connect with his patients, but it also reminds him that recovery isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about building confidence, consistency, and resilience over time.

Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find him training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, lifting weights, rock climbing, playing soccer, or woodworking.
